John B. King Jr. (born 1975) is the President and CEO of The Education Trust. He served as the 10th United States Secretary of Education from 2016 to 2017. King was appointed as New York State Education Commissioner in May 2011, replacing David Steiner as Commissioner of Education and President of the State University of New York (USNY).
