Making a Leather Arrow Quiver - YouTube

Vibrate is a container to hold arrows, bolts, or arrows. This can be done on the body of an archer, bow, or ground, depending on the type of shooting and personal preference of the archer. Quivers are traditionally made of leather, wood, feathers, and other natural materials, but are now often made of metal or plastic.

Belt bergetar

The most common vibrating style is the flat or cylindrical container hanging from the belt. They are found in many cultures from North America to China. Many variations of this type exist, such as being leaned forward or backward, and carried on the dominant side, the small side of the hand, or the small back. Some variants enclose almost all arrows, while minimalist "pocket quivers" consist of little more than small rigid pockets that cover only the first few inches.

Back quiver

The back quiver is secured to the archer's back through the rope, with the nock end protruding above the dominant hand shoulder. Arrows can be pulled over the shoulder quickly by the nock. This vibrating style is used by Native Americans of North America and Africa, and is also commonly portrayed in the reliefs of ancient Assyria. Although popular in theaters and 20th century art for portrayal of medieval European characters (such as Robin Hood), this vibrating style was rarely used in medieval Europe. Bayeux rugs show that most archers in medieval Europe used belts to vibrate.

The ground vibrates

The vibrating ground is used to shoot targets or battles when archers shoot from a fixed location. They can only bet on the ground with a ring on the top to hold the arrow, or a more elaborate design that holds arrows in range without archers having to lean to draw.

The bow vibrates

A modern invention, the bow arc attached directly to the limbs of the bow and hold the fixed arrows with such clips. They are popular with compound arc hunters because it allows one piece of equipment to be carried on the field without burdening the body of the hunter.

Arrow bag

A style used by medieval British Longbowmen and some other cultures, the arrow bag is a simple drawstring sack with a spacer on the top to keep the arrows split. When not in use, the rope can be closed, completely cover the arrows thus protecting them from rain and dirt. Some have ropes or straps sewn to them to carry, but many are tucked into the belt or placed on the ground before the battle to allow easier access.

Japanese vibrator

Yebira refers to various vibrating designs. Yazutsu is a different type, used in Kyudo. Arrow removed from it before firing, and held in hand, so it's mainly used for transporting and protecting arrows.
